Burn Permits Permits will be issued only after the NH daily “Fire Class Day” announcement at
2 PM Monday thru Friday. Weekend permits will be issued on Friday only.
FIRE STATION
Monday - Friday 3 PM - 6 PM
There will be no permits issued on Saturday, Sunday or Holidays.
Plan ahead if you intend to burn on these days.
Weekend permits may be obtained on Friday 3PM – 6PM
NOTE
- You must obtain a Burn Permit for all outside fires.
- If we are out of the station or office during the scheduled time frame, please wait or call later, we may be on an emergency call or an inspection.
- Please DON’T call the Warden or Deputy Wardens at home.
- It is the responsibility of the seasonal permit holder to check the “Fire Class Day” on the day the permittee plans to burn: www.nhdfl.org & 1-866-NHFIRES
- It is illegal to burn household trash, treated wood, logs bigger than 5”, etc.
- Please contact Warden or Deputy Warden if what you are burning is questionable.Only clean wood can be burned.
- The Rindge Fire Department may issue Fire Permits on class 1 (Low) and 2 (Moderate) days. Fire Permits are not issued on class 3 (High) or 4 (Very High) days. On Red Flag days all open burning is prohibited.
If you ignite a fire without a permit, the Rindge Fire Dept. will extinguish the fire at the owner’s or responsible party’s expense.
